In 1981 while I was hanging out with my friend Kenny he had just purchased an 8-track tape (yes I said 8-track tape!) and he put on in his car and said you gotta hear this! I immediately was blown aways by the guitar playing and I had to know who it was and had promptly got the album-It was Ozzy Osbournes 'Blizzard Of Ozz' lp-I became an instant Randy Rhoads fan and it's so hard to believe that it's been 25 years since his passing-There are those  musician's that come along once in a great while who blow everyone away just when you think it's all been done before and believe there is nothing new that can be done on the guitar! Randy's contribution to music while his life was short(God only knows how much more beautiful music Randy could have given us)is timeless and his guitar playing continues to inspire every generation of guitarist as his music has a timeless quality about it-I recently had the honor to visit Randy's grave memorial in San Bernadino,CA-it was surreal! here's some pics:

Randy's memorial was done very nice-I like how they show his famous blonde Les Paul custom and the saying 'AN INSPIRATION FOR ALL YOUNG PEOPLE'

It seemed so surreal that Randy is here-it was the same feeling when I went to visit Jimi Hendrix grave in Renton,WA and Bruce Lee's grave in Seattle,WA.

I really how they made this musical harp-if you look closely on the floor you can see a green and orange guitar pick! Also on the bench on the left a fan left a ticket stub for the ozz fest with beads wrapped around it.

I was here about a half hour and there a few fans of Randy's who showed up-A guy & his son and a couple other's-it looks like the memorial has been kept up very well-wish I could have been here on march 19th 2007on the 25th anniversary of Randy's death when many fans from all over the world and Randy's family were here - it was filmed and many were interviewed for an up coming film about Randy's life.
